Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coin. The unique coin consists of one troy ounce of .9999 fine gold. Royal Canadian Mint (Ottawa) produces the coins using only the purest gold from northern Canadian mines.
Obverse of each coin bears profile of Queen Elizabeth II, “50 Dollars” and issuing year.
Reverse includes national symbol – Canadian Maple Leaf, purity, weight and Fine gold statement.
To protect investors against forgeries, starting from 2013, a laser-micro-engraved textured maple leaf was added on a small area of the coin reverse with indication of coin’s year of issue, which is only visible under magnification.
Minted from .9999 pure gold, a higher degree of purity than conventional gold bullion investment products, each coin meets strict purity standards.
